A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge of high pressure to the north of Tasmania. A cold front is forecast to cross Tasmania on Saturday, with a low to then move well to the south of Tasmania later on Saturday and early Sunday. Another high pressure system is expected to move over to the north of Tasmania on Sunday afternoon and evening, then move over the Tasman Sea on Monday as a cold front weakens to the west of the state.
