Weather Situation

A northwesterly air stream over the state strengthens today as a low and cold front approaches from the west. The cold front is expected to cross early Tuesday morning, with the deep low to move to the south of the state later Tuesday. The low is then expected to move away to the east on Wednesday, with a much colder southwesterly airstream to build over Tasmania. Winds are forecast to slowly ease through Thursday as a ridge builds over the state from a high over Victoria.
