A high over the Tasman Sea is directing a northerly stream across Tasmania, ahead of a cold front to approach and cross the state this afternoon and evening. A weak ridge will move over Tasmania on Saturday afternoon, with a trough to to cross early Sunday bringing a southerly stream. Another high is expected to approach Tasmania from the west during Monday and move over the state late.
