A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea directs a northwesterly flow over the state, strengthening ahead of a weak cold front to cross Tasmania during Thursday. A weak ridge passes over the state on Friday, before another cold front is forecast to cross the state on Saturday. A westerly flow is then expected to develop over Tasmania on Sunday.
