Weather Situation

A high pressure system centred to the west of Tasmania extends a ridge over the state and is forecast to cross the state this evening before moving over the Tasman Sea during Tuesday. Northerly flow is expected to build over Tasmania during Tuesday ahead of an approaching trough, forecast to cross Wednesday morning. A broad trough is forecast to cross the state during Thursday as a cold front approaches from the west, crossing Friday evening. A ridge of high pressure is then expected to approach Tasmania from the west during Friday, crossing during the day.
