A high pressure system over Victoria directs a westerly airstream over Tasmania, forecast to weakening as a ridge extends over the state during today. A strong northerly flow will develop on Sunday, ahead of a cold front which is forecast to cross the state later in the day. Another cold front is forecast to approach the southwest of Tasmania Monday evening, passing to the south of the state.
