A cold front clears to the east of Tasmania with a cool southwesterly airstream extending over the state in its wake. A high pressure system is forecast to move over Tasmania from the west during Wednesday before slipping to the southeast during Thursday tending the airstream northerly over the state. Northerly flow is forecast to persist into Friday as a weakening cold front approaches the west, forecast to cross during Saturday.
