Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure slowly crosses Tasmania today and tomorrow, bringing mostly settled weather to the state. The high is then forecast to move to the east of Tasmania later Friday as a cold front approaches from the west during Saturday, and crosses over the west later Sunday. A low pressure centre is expected to develop on the front to the northwest of Tasmania later Sunday and during Monday, directing a trough over the state on Monday.
