A vigorous low pressure system approaches the northwest of Tasmania this evening, extending a warm front over the north during the night. The low complex is expected to move over Tasmania on Tuesday and Wednesday before tracking to the east on Thursday. A brief ridge of high pressure will cross the state on Friday, before a cold front approaches the west coast late.
