A broad area of low pressure over the east of Tasmania is slowly moving into the Tasman Sea. A ridge of high pressure will develop over Tasmania on Wednesday, ahead of a weak cold front expected to cross the state on Thursday. The ridge of high pressure will redevelop over Tasmania on Friday before the airstream tends northwesterly ahead of an approaching cold front on Saturday.
