A trough clears to the east of Tasmania today, as a low pressure system located well to the southwest draws an associated cold front over the state later on Wednesday. The front is expected to be followed by a prevailing westerly flow on Thursday, continuing into Friday and the weekend. A weak cold front embedded in the flow approaches and crosses from the west late Friday.
