Weather Situation

A cold front embedded in a vigorous westerly stream will approach and cross Tasmania on Saturday morning, with high pressure system to build to the north of the state and extend a ridge over Tasmania in the evening. The high will move slowly move to the north of Tasmania on Sunday and over the northern Tasman Sea by Sunday evening, with another cold front to approach and cross the state on Monday morning. On Tuesday a ridge of high pressure is expected to extend over Tasmania, with a low pressure system to move from central Australia over southern New South Wales.
