Weather Situation

A relatively warm and humid northerly airstream flows across Tasmania as a cold front approaches from this west and crosses this evening. A northwesterly airstream will then follow as a low pressure centre and associated cold front approach from the west, crossing during Friday. A much cooler south to southwesterly airstream is expected to follow early Saturday with a ridge of high pressure forecast to develop over the state through the weekend. A warmer northwesterly airstream is then expected to develop during Monday as the ridge gradually moves to the east and a cold front approaches from the west.
