Weather Situation

A high pressure system sits over Tasmania today and is expected to move to the southeast during Thursday. A northerly flow is forecast to establish on Thursday and persist into Friday as a weakening cold front approaches from the west, forecast to cross Tasmania early Saturday. A series of troughs are then expected to cross Tasmania during Saturday in a westerly airstream. Another cold front approaches from the west on Sunday, directing the airstream northwesterly over the state.
