A cold front crossing Tasmania, clears to the east this evening. A cool southwesterly flow will develop behind the front and persist on Thursday. A strong ridge of high pressure is forecast to build over the state on Friday, lingering during the weekend as the high centre is expected to move over Tasmania on Saturday and out to the Tasman Sea on Sunday.
