Weather Situation

A trough over eastern Bass Strait will contract northwards today, while a high pressure systems begins to move well to the west of Tasmania. This high will extend a persistent ridge across the state as it moves south of Tasmania on Friday then into the southern Tasman Sea on the weekend and linger there early next week.
