A cold front moves to the east of Tasmania late today, bringing a cold southerly stream. A high pressure system over the ocean to the west of Tasmania extends a ridge over the state late Saturday. The ridge contracts over the mainland as the high moves northwards on Sunday, maintaining a west to southwesterly flow over Tasmania into Monday.
