A ridge of high pressure lies over the state. The high centre is expected to reach the west coast later today, move over the state on Sunday and out to the east on Monday. A weak trough is forecast to cross the west coast late Monday, ahead of a cold front and associated low pressure system expected to approach the state on Tuesday.
