Weather Situation

A high pressure system the southern Tasman Sea extends a weakening ridge over the State, as a trough approaches Tasmania from the west. The trough is forecast to move over the State on Monday. Another high passes to the south of Tasmania between Tuesday and Thursday, as a broad low pressure system moves slowly over the southeastern mainland. Together they direct an easterly airstream over Tasmania through the middle of the week.
