Weather Situation
A broad area of low pressure lies to the east of Tasmania and will continue to slowly move eastwards during today. A high pressure centre over New South Wales extends a ridge towards Tasmania today as a weak cold front approaches from the west. The front is expected to cross the state later today with a ridge of high pressure to redevelop during Friday. The airstream will then tend northwesterly across Tasmania during Saturday as a strong cold front approaches from the west, expected to cross later Sunday.
