A ridge extends over Tasmania, as a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea continues to slowly drift eastwards over the weekend. A northwesterly flow is forecast to develop over the state on Monday, as a cold front approaches from the west. The front weakens into a trough as it moves over Tasmania on Tuesday and Wednesday.
