Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure will develop over Tasmania from the west during Friday, behind a weak cold front which has passed into the Tasman Sea. At the same time a trough and associated low pressure system is deepening over Victoria. The trough is forecast to move near the east of Tasmania on Saturday, before moving away to the southeast on Sunday. Another weaker high pressure ridge is forecast to move over from the west early Monday ahead of an approaching cold front.
