A high pressure centre lies over the Bight and extends a ridge of high pressure over Tasmania, bringing mostly settled weather to the state. The high is expected to slowly approach Tasmania, passing close to the south during Tuesday before establishing over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday and Thursday.
