Weather Situation

A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea, providing a north to northwesterly stream over Tasmania that will continue through Tuesday as a low-pressure system and associated cold front approach from the west. The weakening cold front will cross Tasmania on Wednesday, ahead of a second, stronger cold front to cross late Thursday. On Friday, another high is expected to approach Tasmania from the west and extending a ridge over the state during the evening.
