- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will continue to extend a ridge over Tasmania until a trough moves across the state from the west later today. This trough will linger off the northeast coast on Thursday then will move eastwards on Friday ahead of a cold front expected to cross the state early Saturday, followed by another trough in the evening. A high pressure system will move to a position over waters south of the Bight on Sunday and will extend a ridge over Tasmania.
