A high pressure system moves into the Tasman Sea this evening, continuing to extend a ridge over Tasmania through Friday. A trough is forecast to cross the state during Saturday, ahead of a stronger cold front to cross overnight. A ridge of high pressure is then expected to build over the state from late Sunday, persisting on Monday.
