A westerly flow over Tasmania on Sunday, shifting northwesterly on Monday ahead of a cold front crossing the state during the day. Westerly flow behind the cold front then persists on Tuesday, with a trough of low pressure embedded in the westerly flow moving over the state. A high pressure system south of the Bight then extends a ridge over Bass Strait, with another cold front clipping the south later Wednesday. The high moves eastwards to be centred east of Tasmania later Thursday.
