Weather Situation

A high pressure system resides over the Tasman Sea today and Monday. The high centre is expected to weaken during Tuesday as a trough approaches the west coast and slowly crosses Tasmania during the afternoon and evening. Remnants of the trough will linger about Bass Strait on Wednesday while a new ridge of high pressure moves over Tasmania from the west. This ridge will persist during Thursday as the high centre gradually approaches.
