- A cool west to southwesterly airstream persists over Tasmania until today as a ridge of high pressure extends from south of the Bight over Victoria, and a broad area of low pressure lies well to the south of Tasmania. The high is forecast to move eastwards over Bass Strait during Thursday and Friday, before a trough crosses the state on Saturday.
