Weather Situation

A northwesterly airstream flows over Tasmania this evening as a ridge gradually moves to the east and a cold front approaches from the west. The cold front is expected to reach southwest Tasmania early Tuesday then cross during the day, bringing a cooler southerly flow to the state. A high pressure centre then approaches from the west on Wednesday, extending a ridge over Tasmania. The ridge remains in place during Thursday and Friday, bringing mostly settled weather to the state.
