- Weather Situation
- A strengthening west to northwesterly airstream prevails over Tasmania this evening as a low pressure centre and associated cold front approach from the southwest. The front crosses Tasmania Saturday morning with the associated low passing to the south, bringing a cold and gusty southwesterly airstream to the state. A high over the Bight will maintain the southwesterly stream over Tasmania on Sunday, with the high expected to move to the north of Tasmania later Monday, extending and ridge over the state as it passes. Another cold front approaches from the west on Tuesday and is expected to cross later in the day.
