A cold front approaches from the west today and crosses the state early Tuesday morning. Cold west to southwesterly are forecast to follow the front before a high pressure centre approach the west of Tasmania during Wednesday. The high is expected to move over the state Thursday, before moving away to the east, over the Tasman Sea, on Friday.
