- Weather Situation
- A near-stationary high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across Tasmania, directing a mostly west to northwesterly flow over the State until the end of the week. Fresh westerly winds behind a cold front in southern Tasmania early this morning easing to light winds today as a weak high pressure system crosses the State, then warm north to northwesterly flow persisting until later in the weekend as a stronger, slow-moving cold front builds over the Bight, expected to move over Tasmania early next week.
