A trough is crossing over Tasmania from the west today, expected to clear to the east by late evening. A ridge is forecast to develop just to the south of the state on Tuesday morning before moving over the state in the afternoon. The ridge is expected to remain overhead on Wednesday before a cold front arrives during Thursday afternoon.
