- A strong cold front approaching from the west will enter the west coast late Friday. This front will cross over Tasmania early Saturday, followed by a post frontal trough in the afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will begin to develop from the west on Sunday, with multiple small high pressure centres crossing over the state in the following days. This broad ridge will persist over Tasmania into Tuesday.
