A series of cold fronts slowly approach Tasmania from the west, directing a northerly airstream across the state. The first front is forecast to cross Tasmania this evening, with a fresh westerly airstream to follow during Sunday. A second cold front embedded in the strong westerly flow is expected to cross during Monday, bringing a much colder airstream to the state. Another cold front is then expected cross during Wednesday, bringing a fresh southwesterly airstream to the state.
