A high pressure centre just east of Tasmania is to remain stationary just off the east coast today and Sunday, bringing warm and humid northeasterly winds over the state. A trough is expected to approach and cross Tasmania from the west on Monday. A ridge is forecast to develop just to the south of the state on Tuesday morning before moving over the state in the afternoon. The ridge is expected to remain overhead on Wednesday.
