Weather Situation

A high pressure centre lies to the east of Tasmania, extending a ridge over the State. The ridge will slowly weaken as a trough approaches from the west, nearing the west coast later Sunday. The trough is forecast to move over Tasmania on Monday. The trough lingers to the northeast of Tasmania during Tuesday and Wednesday as a high pressure ridge builds to the south of the State, directing an easterly airstream over Tasmania.
