- Weather Situation
- A near-stationary high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across Tasmania, directing a mostly west to northwesterly flow over the State until the end of the week. Northwesterly winds freshening on Tuesday ahead of an approaching cold front that is expected to clip southern Tasmania late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Lighter winds during Wednesday as a weak high pressure system crosses the State, then warm north to northwesterly flow persisting until later in the weekend as a stronger, slow-moving cold front builds over the Bight.
