A ridge of high pressure over Tasmania will weaken overnight ahead of a weak cold front expected to move across the state on Tuesday. The ridge of high pressure will return quickly late Tuesday and will persist on Wednesday and Thursday then will move eastwards on Friday ahead of an approaching cold front.
