Weather Situation
A low pressure system continues to deepen in the Tasman Sea, directing a fresh southerly flow over Tasmania today. A weak warm front will cross this evening, then a ridge of high pressure will extend over the state from the west during the weekend, with the high centre expected to move over Tasmania on Monday. A warmer north to northwesterly airstream will then develop over the state on Tuesday as the ridge moves over the Tasman Sea and a low pressure system and associated front approach from the west.
