A high pressure ridge extends over the southern mainland maintaining a westerly flow over Tasmania today, continuing into Monday before the high centre is forecast to drift into the Tasman Sea late Monday. A cold front is expected to approach from the west and cross Tasmania on Tuesday, followed by persistent westerly flow for the remainder of the week. A cold front embedded in the westerly flow is forecast to cross during Thursday.
