- A high pressure ridge over Tasmania will persist in the coming days with a trough developing through eastern parts of Bass Strait today. This trough will develop into a broad low pressure system off the eastern coast of Victoria by Thursday while a secondary high pressure system begins to move in far to the west of Tasmania, expected to slip to the south of the state on Friday.
