- Weather Situation
- A large area of low pressure lies over Tasmania with its main centre to the northwest of the state. The low complex will slowly move to the east during Thursday morning, directing a fresh south to southeasterly airstream over the state. A narrow ridge of high pressure will then approach Tasmania from the west later Thursday and will cross Friday morning with a cold front to follow later that day. A west to northwesterly airstream will then establish and prevail over Tasmania during Saturday and Sunday as an area of high pressure builds over the southeastern mainland and a series of lows and fronts pass well to the southwest.
