A high pressure centre to the east of Tasmania directs warm and humid northeasterly winds over the state. A trough is expected to approach and quickly cross Tasmania from the west on Monday. A ridge is forecast to develop just to the south of the state on Tuesday morning before moving over the state in the afternoon. The ridge is expected to remain overhead on Wednesday before a cold front arrives during Thursday afternoon.
