A ridge of high pressure extends across the Bight and to the north of Tasmania, maintaining a mostly westerly airstream over Tasmania for much of the coming week. A weak cold front embedded in the flow crosses Tasmania Tuesday morning. Another stronger front crosses late Wednesday as a deep low passes well to the south.
