A ridge of high pressure moves over the state during today. The ridge is then forecast to move eastwards over the Tasman Sea, as a cold front approaches and crosses from the west late Friday, followed by a secondary high pressure system moving over the state on Saturday. A cold front is expected to move over Tasmania during Sunday afternoon.
