Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure extends across the Bight and to the north of Tasmania, maintaining a mostly westerly airstream over Tasmania for much of the coming week. A strong northwesterly airstream develops across southern Tasmania this evening as a deep low passes well to the south. An embedded cold front crosses during Friday, with a ridge to follow on Saturday, bringing more settled conditions to the state.
