A weak cold front moves over Tasmania this evening, clearing to the east on Friday, with a trough lingering about the southeast. A ridge of high pressure will then slowly extend over the state from late Friday, as the high centre is forecast to approach the west coast on Saturday, move over Tasmania on Sunday and out to the east on Monday.
