A northwesterly airstream over Tasmania on Friday as a low pressure centre and associated cold front approach from the west, crossing the state during the afternoon and evening.A much cooler south to southwesterly airstream is expected to follow early Saturday with a ridge of high pressure forecast to develop over the state through the weekend. A warmer northwesterly airstream is then expected to develop during Monday as the ridge gradually moves to the east and a cold front approaches from the west.
