Weather Situation

A near-stationary high lies over the Tasman Sea and extends a ridge over Tasmania and into the mainland. A weak cold front over eastern Tasmania will move out to the Tasman Sea this morning. A warm northwesterly airstream will then prevail on Friday ahead of a cold front that approaches from the west. The front will slow down and weaken as it approaches the ridge of high pressure over Tasmania, and is expected to cross during Sunday.
