A ridge of high pressure over Tasmania will persist over the coming days, with a weak cold front to clip the south of the state on Saturday morning. The high centre will move into the Tasman Sea on Sunday and direct a northerly flow over Tasmania, ahead of another cold front that is expected to weaken and stall over Tasmania during Monday.
