Weather Situation

A ridge lies over Bass Strait with westerly flow prevailing over Tasmania, expected to continue into Friday. On Saturday a cold front is forecast to quickly passes to the south of the state followed by a high pressure ridge to the south. A broad trough is then forecast to extend down from the mainland over Tasmania on Sunday, clearing to the east on Monday.
